Know that God loves you and is for you! He is the Father who comforts you and encourages you. He wants to heal your broken heart. He isn’t counting your sins. He doesn’t even remember them since His Son, Jesus came and died in your place. Now you and the Father are reconciled and you can never be separated from His love again. He’s waiting for you to come home to Him.
Keep on asking and it will be given you; keep on seeking and you will find; keep on knocking (reverently) and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who keeps on asking receives; and he who keeps on seeking finds; and to him who keeps on knocking, the door will be opened. Matthew 7:7,8

Question of the Month
It seems that forgiving myself is the hardest thing to do. Do you have any suggestions of how to do it?
There can be many reasons for being unwilling to forgive ourselves. Perhaps we feel our failures are too great and numerous. Maybe our sins seem so different and secret. We may believe no one has ever done or thought the things we have. Are your sins so awful you cannot tell anyone about them? Is what you have done the worst thing that anyone could ever do? Consider thoughtfully what follows.
When we cannot forgive ourselves, we may feel we need to suffer for what we did. Our guilt and regrets may be so great that we believe we do not deserve anything good. We believe we deserve punishment instead. We may sacrifice many things in an effort to pay for our wrongdoings. We may give up our sleep, our freedom to have a nice home and fashionable clothes, our health, our happiness, and our peace. All this penance doesn't make anything better. We feel worse because we are constantly thinking about what we've done wrong.
Whether it be for the mistakes we made when we were young or the stupid things we've done without thinking or all that we have purposed in our mind and knowingly did – no matter how horrible – we do not need to suffer anymore. Jesus did all the suffering for us. There is no more that needs to be done. His sacrifice on the cross is sufficient to cover EVERYTHING TOTALLY.
God says:
If you will confess your sins, I will be faithful and just to forgive them. I will be merciful and will remember your sins no more. Even though your sins are like scarlet, they will be white as snow. I will remove your sins as far as the east is from the west. My Son lifted Himself up on the cross so that I may have mercy on you and show you loving-kindness. Your transgressions are forgiven and your sins are covered with the blood of Jesus. Rise up and walk, your sins are forgiven. My Son has set you free. Do not imagine there is something I cannot forgive. When the Son sets you free, you are free indeed. Allow the gift of My Son to cleanse you of all guilt and shame. Accept what Jesus has done for you with a spirit of gratitude and thanksgiving. The only thing I cannot forgive is the refusal to accept My Son's sacrifice because there is nothing else that is sufficient to satisfy the penalty of sin. I want to bless you and give you My best. I want to show My love to you in ways you never thought possible. Come to Me. My hand is outstretched and waiting. My heart yearns to love you, My precious child. Come home to your Father today.
