Past Questions of the Month:

Hope and Assurance

This website was created for those acquainted with mental illness and in need of hope and assurance.

Question of the Month

If you have a question that you would like addressed, or have comments or suggestions, please let me hear from you. Contact: carolyn@hopeandassurance.com

August, 2008 is the three year anniversary of this website.

As a way of celebrating God’s faithfulness and goodness, I will send a book to the first twelve people who send me a written email regarding this website during August.

Most of the books I have either quoted from or been influenced by when answering a question; but, each one of them can benefit someone acquainted with mental illness.

These are the books:

Boundaries by Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr. John Townsend,
How to Talk so Kids Will Listen & Listen So Kids Will Talk by Adele Faber and Elaine Mazlish,
Battlefield of the Mind by Joyce Meyer,
Lies Women Believe and the Truth That Sets Them Free by Nancy Leigh DeMoss,
Managing Your Emotions by Joyce Meyer,
Light of My Darkness by Carolyn Reese,
The Lies We  Believe by Dr. Chris Thurman,
Straight Talk – Overcoming Emotional Battles With the Power of God’s Word by Joyce Meyer,
Stepping Heavenward – One Woman’s Journey to Godliness by Mrs. E. Prentiss,
It’s Not About Me – Rescue from the Life We Thought Would Make Us Happy by Max Lucado,
Me and My Big Mouth - Your Answer is Right Under Your Nose by Joyce Meyer
Captivating – Unveiling the Mystery of a Woman’s Soul by John and Stasi Eldredge.

The next 100 website visitors, who send a written email during the month of August, will receive a 4x6 inspirational photographic quality card suitable for framing or hanging with a magnet.

There is no charge to you – not even a shipping charge - just the time it takes to send an email.  I will need your name and address to be able to send you either a book or card.

I will never sell or give your personal information to any one else for any reason.  If you should tell me something personal in your email, please be assured; it will remain between you and me.  Sometimes, I may use your email in a strictly confidential way to construct a question that may benefit others.

Consider this a little gift of love and support from your Heavenly Father, Who never ceases to give us all that we need and more, because He yearns to bless us with His very best.

Happy August, 2008 to you!  I encourage you to find something or someone you can celebrate in a special way, too!
